The animation is expressive but lacking. Very choppy, more frames are needed.

BlimpAnimation responds:

Right this was pretty early in my animation journey its come along ways

You always choose really good songs for you flashes. Where do you usually get/find them?

ProsciuttoMan responds:

Lol it’s just shit I like to listen to whilst animating!

I think the voice acting and sound design are pretty well done I just really don't like how it was "animated". The art was well drawn but I think that having the drawings float around is kind of boring. It felt more like I was watching a very well drawn storyboard that was yet to be animated. I understand that animation is really time-consuming and maybe you didn't have the budget or resources to pull off a fully animated 11 minute cartoon and I'm all for taking shortcuts when you're able to but this just didn't click with me.

I feel like you guys have a talented cast and a fun enough concept that you could make something really special and I see a lot of that potential in this, but as it sits now I just really don't enjoy it.

NickSenny responds:

Thanks man! It’s hard since we only have a crew of 4 people (plus the VAs). And I do some of the voice acting (in this case Mario and many of the background characters), editing of the voice actors lines, the sound design, and the “animation” or editing; all in one month. It’s a lot for one person’s plate. Then we have the one artist, and then the composer; we’re all working on the same scenes simultaneously. Our lead oversees the three of us and writes the script.

None of us are too well-versed in animation, it will be difficult especially if our artist has a very distinct style none of us could match. Also, we’re working on a limited budget and couldn’t afford an animator.

We tried to do the best we could with what we have to provide an interesting and intriguing story. Due to the lack of animation, I try to make up for it in dynamic sound design.

I think I liked the space-aids segment a little bit better than the Jimmy Laden segment mostly because I liked the way the characters were drawn. (Kind of reminds me of Matt Groening's "Life in Hell")

Other than that I thought some of the jokes fell flat and sometimes the animation needed a little more time in the oven but it was always charming and I could tell that it was a labor of love. I would love to see more from the three of you again.

(I also think the music and voice acting is really well done)

I know but thanks for the comment I will try to improve my content! Also your very underrated you deserve more followers.

I'm glad you're learning animation but please don't upload the tests to newgrounds. Only upload finished movies to here. Keep animating though.

DiegoCappe responds:

Ok sorry

Good job dude. Glad to see it finished!

TheJ-Pro responds:

Great Collab! I enjoyed everyone's section but I think HarpyCarp's is my personal favorite.

@MonkeyManiac577 is right. This isn't animation. Download flash or something.

ericgamersonic624624 responds:

ok i download flash sorry for the bad animation.

This is interesting. The stop motion is pretty good but the digital animation on top of it feels clunky and visually unappealing. I'm curious on how things may improve in the future.

stageactstudios responds:

thank you for the feedback, i was trying to go for an old point and click look

I'm still here!!
